HPPSC Recruitment 2022 Online Recruitment Applications are invited from desirous and eligible candidates for Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing Specialist, Class-II (Non-Gazetted) (on contract basis) recruitment in the Department of Revenue (Disaster Management Cell), Himachal Pradesh through ORA, which shall be available on the Commission’s website www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc.).

GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist Essential Qualification(s)

(i) 1st Class Master Degree in Geology/Geography with one year Diploma in remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) from any recognized University.

(ii) A minimum of 03 years work experience in Remote Sensing, Geographic Information System (GIS) and Image Interpretation with any Government/Semi Government/Public Sector organizations after acquiring the educational qualifications.

Desirable Qualification

Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability of appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist Pay Scale

Rs.10,300-34,800+ (GP 4800)

Age Limit:-

Between Minimum 18 years to Maximum 45 years (to be reckoned from 01-01-2022)

Age relaxation:-

Five years relaxation in upper age limit is admissible only to the bonafide S.C. of H.P. / S.T. of H.P. / O.B.C. of H.P. /W.F.F. of H.P. / Persons with disabilities of Himachal Pradesh. For H.P. Govt. employees and Ex-Servicemen of H.P.; age relaxation is as per Government’s instructions issued from time to time. The age relaxation for these categories is available only if there is a post reserved for these categories.

Selection Process for GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist

The Candidate Selection will be based on

(1). Screening/Preliminary Exam.

(2). Personality Test.

List of documents to be uploaded on the OTRS portal by the candidate:-

3. Experience certificate(s) wherever required.

4. Category certificate(s) in support of their eligibility, if any, viz., S.C., S.T., O.B.C., E.W.S., Ex-Servicemen, Ward of Ex. Servicemen, WFF and Persons with disabilities etc. All these certificates along-with undertaking wherever required, should be on Performa prescribed by the Government of H.P. from time to time. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes Certificates should be in accordance with the instructions of the Govt.
