IIIT Una Recruitment 2023 Applications are invited from eligible candidates to work as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on the Research Project Sponsored by H.P Council for Science, Technology and Environment (HIMCOSTE). The position is purely on temporary basis with an initial appointment for one year, which is extendable up to one more year, solely based on performance. The JRF selected for this project may be admitted to the PhD program of the Institute subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. However, it may be noted that the fellowship under this project is available maximum up to 02 years (or till project completion) and the candidate admitted in PhD program may not be provided with any financial support for the rest of the PhD duration.

Project Title: STRI SAKHI: A Digital Artificial Intelligence based Health Tracker Solution

JRF Project Duration: 02 years

Principal Investigators: Dr. Nishtha Hooda (PI) and Dr. Vikram Kumar (Co-PI)

JRF Fellowship Amount:

Rs. 20,000/- per month

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Essential Qualifications:

Candidates with a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record or a Master’s degree by Research in Engineering/ Technology in relevant discipline, with a valid/qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score in addition to good and consistent academic record. However, GATE qualification may be exempted for the deserving candidates as per the Institute norms.

OR

B.Tech./B.E. degree of any recognized University/Institute in India with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10.0-point scale or equivalent with valid GATE score in addition to exceptional academic record and within top three ranks of the University/Institute. GATE may be exempted for a candidate with bachelor’s degree from Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI)/ Government Funded Technical Institute (GFTI) with minimum CGPA of 8.0 and exceptional academic record.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Desirable Qualification:

i. GATE/NET Qualified

ii. Good knowledge of fundamentals in Machine learning and a strong desire to do research.

iii. Candidates with prior background in Machine Learning Recommendation Engines, Chabot, are given preference.

· No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

· Interview will be conducted in-person only.

Note:

The position mentioned is purely temporary basis and for the period of duration of the project (maximum 02 years). If performance of candidate is found unsatisfactory, the position can be terminated with 01-month notice.
